Daycare/ Board/Board and Train

Do be aware, an Evaluation Session is required prior to a dog being booked into any Classes, Daycare, Boarding or Board/Train program.

Daycare – A tired dog is a happy dog

PHD offers all-day and half-day daycare sessions in both our expansive outdoor play yard and the new temperature-controlled training facility. With enrichment play equipment and plenty of interactive toys, small groups (no more than 8 at a time) have hour-long sessions of free play as well as regular individual exercise sessions. The groups are supervised by knowledgeable dog handlers with years of experience. All dogs in a play group are assessed and then carefully selected for compatibility. When weather permits, the dogs have access to our large fully fenced and secured outdoor ½ acre dog yard. In the winter and on rainy days, playgroups move to our indoor training building with specialized cushioned flooring. When not in active play, dogs can relax in spacious individual runs or large, private crates. To take full advantage of your dog’s time with us, you can also arrange a private training session for your dog, allowing us to help teach your dog new skills or modify/eliminate bothersome negative behaviors.

Daycare Rates:

½ Day (4 hours or less) – One Dog: $25.00
Full day (8:00 am – 6:30 pm) – One Dog: $30.00
One hour training sessions can be added to your dog’s daycare for an additional fee of $30.00

Boarding – A vacation for your dog

Sometimes we just can’t have our dogs at home with us. When this happens, PHD offers personalized boarding options designed to make your dog’s stay as stress-free as possible. Our new kennel facility was specifically designed for dogs who might not thrive in more chaotic kenneling situations. Our kennel area has heated floors and sound-dampening insulated walls with anti-microbial finish. We sanitize and disinfect daily. Inside runs are 4’ x 8’ with individualized double flapped weatherproof doors. Once opened, the doors lead to a dog’s individual outdoor run. Each outdoor run is 4’ x 10’, with a raised deck and completely enclosed with roof and side walls. For senior dogs and puppies, we offer smaller indoors runs with access to the indoor training area for exercise. Dog’s who board with us not only have access to their own private exercise time but, assessment permitting, can join group play sessions at no extra cost. Finally, while your dog is staying with us, we can also develop a private training plan to add new skills, polish up commands that might have become sloppy or address problematic behaviors.

Boarding Rates:

One Dog: $45.00 per day 
2nd Dog from the same family: $40.00 per day
3rd Dog from same family: $30.00 per day

Every day of your dog’s visit they will receive 2 complimentary play sessions in one of our yards.
One hour training sessions per day can be added to your dog’s stay for an additional fee of $30.00
Medications can be administered for an additional $5 per day

Board and Train Stays – A convenient positive training camp for your dog

If a busy work or family schedule keeps you from providing the consistent daily sessions needed to lay in the foundation of solid training, we offer a “Board/Train” program. During the program, offered in 3- or 6-week blocks, the dog lives here with us. They’ll learn and become solid in all the basic commands including (but not limited to) “Sit”, “Down”, “Loose Leash Walking”, “Leave It”, “Wait”, “Off” and “Watch” as well as reliable recall command to bring your dog to you. The emphasis in the program is on developing the manners a dog needs to be a well-behaved member of a household and a community. Your dog will not only receive two daily training sessions at our facility but will also take field trips around town to improve their social skills and exposing them to the greater world. Included in the cost of these packages are 3 or 6 private training sessions with the dog and the owner, insuring you’ll know all commands and how to ask your dog to perform them. Board/Train dogs not only stay in the kennels but also in my home, helping ensure better obedience in all situations. Boarding dogs receive two ½ hour training sessions and two 1 hour play sessions per full day Board/Train day.

2nd Dog from the same family: $65.00 per day
3rd Dog from same family: $55.00 per day

Medications can be administered for an additional $5 per day
