Since 1975, I’ve been responsibly breeding champion AKC registered purebred Clumber Spaniels, American Foxhounds, Norfolk Terriers and, most recently, English Toy Spaniels and Cesky Terriers. I’ve been designated an “AKC Breeder Of Merit” and have always been committed to producing healthy confident dogs with stable temperaments and outgoing, personalities. All my breeding stock is health tested as recommended for their breed. Most recently, I have employed the Puppy Culture method of early neurological stimulation and developmentally effective socialization with my litters and am recognized as “Puppy Culture Breeder.”
My current breeding efforts are focused on two rare and endangered breeds, English Toy Spaniels and Cesky Terriers. Under the kennel name of “Fuzzy Frog”, I am actively breeding English Toy Spaniels. I am delighted to be promoting this charming, cheerful and utterly irrepressible lesser-known breed. Foremost in our household is American Grand Champion/ Canadian Grand Champion Bookmark’s I Go Where Hugo, better known as “Hugo”. A multiple group winner, Hugo is currently the #1 English Toy Spaniel in Canada and has been nationally ranked in the U.S. Known by his perpetually wagging tail, Hugo represents the breed with humor and enthusiasm wherever he goes. He has received his CHIC number from the Canine Health Information Center having passed all his health clearances. Even though a young dog, Hugo has produced several exceptional litters including among his young offspring multiple champions/pointed puppies as well as Best Puppy in Show winner. Hugo is joined in our household by his “harem” – GCH Coelura’s Belle Watling TKI, CH Fuzzy Frog Backwoods Barbie and CH Clussexx Come Reign or Come Shine, all of whom also have all their health clearances. I have English Toy Spaniel litters planned in 2026/27. Please feel free contact me for more information.
More recently, I have been actively involved with Cesky Terriers. This hardy, happy, hypoallergenic breed is a purebred canine “hidden gem”. They make a great apartment or family dog, small enough to be easily carried but sturdy enough for any adventure. The breed was originally developed to hunt wild boar in packs. So, unlike most Terrier breeds, they get along with everybody, dogs of all ages, sizes and temperaments. Grooming is uncomplicated. They are a clippered breed whose coat is easy to maintain. As a Preservation Breeder, I am dedicated to ensuring this significantly endangered breed doesn’t go extinct. Do the research. You’ll discover this may just be the dog for you! I have a litter planned in 2027.
